How to Prepare for a Photoshoot
- The key to a successful photoshoot is carefully planned outfits for all participants. The more thoughtfully you prepare your family’s looks, the more beautiful and harmonious your photos will be.
- If you are unsure about your outfits, feel free to consult with me and we can choose the right clothing together.
- If you have a unique or bold outfit in mind, please let me know in advance so we can choose the best location and coordinating styles for the rest of the participants.
Clothing
Your clothing should be comfortable and not too tight. The most important thing is that you feel confident wearing it. Basic guidelines when choosing outfits:
- Stick to no more than three colors in your looks (black and white do not count and can be used as accents).
- Choose clothing without prints, bold logos, or busy patterns. Neutral and pastel tones work best: beige, brown, mustard, khaki, cream, off-white. Fabrics like linen, cotton, and knitwear look especially beautiful in photos.
- Outfits should complement the shooting location and blend well with the background in both color and theme.
- A “checkerboard effect” looks great in photos (for example, mom’s skirt color matching the child’s shirt).

Accessories
- Complete your looks with accessories such as hats, scarves, suspenders, or glasses.
- Make sure to choose shoes that match the style of your outfits.
- Avoid black heavy boots, patent leather shoes, or brightly colored sneakers.
Hair and Makeup
Recommended but not required. A natural look is enough — light makeup and a simple hairstyle, such as soft waves or a casual style.
